The Spinning Batts on this page are created in my studio. Rovings are sometimes blended in a mill. All the fibers are carefully washed by me, dyed, carded and often blended with other dyed or natural colored fibers. All the batts and rovings are virtually vm (vegetable matter ) free unless otherwise noted. I don’t sell what I wouldn’t want to spin.
Availability of batts will be limited for the time being. I’m recovering from a shoulder injury and not spending a lot of time processing fiber… check back occasionally or subscribe to the feed so you will know when something new comes up.

Firelight - A beautiful blend of Corriedale Wool, Mix Breed Wool, Alpaca, Mohair, Angelina for a heathery russet red with a bit of shine. This is a customer favorite and a personal favorite. The ratio of Alpaca in this blend makes it perfect for garments where you want beautiful drape. Gorgeous! $16.00 per 4 ounce lot. I noticed that the color shows up off on the page, I will try to fix it.. the color is a deep russet red, not bright as it looks here.

Landscape – Romney x /Mohair/Silk - This base of this blend is a soft grey wool from a Romney x Sheep named Beauty, perfect name for this wool. It was blended with dyed mixed breed wool, soft mohair and lustrous silk, all dyed in a variety of blue and green shades for a yarn with depth of color, yet muted enough for a garment that can be worn for many years. The resulting yarn is medium soft and shows stitch definition nicely along, while the neutral base. $ 10.00 per 4oz lot.

Fudge – Merino/Romeldale/Alpaca/Silk- An absolutely divine fiber blend that looks like peanut butter fudge.. Naturally colored light chocolate Merino and Romeldale blended with a very generous amount of Chocolate Alpaca and wild Silk in a natural amber color. The results is soft clouds of fiber and incredibly soft, slightly textured yarn. Because it is so soft, you would want to use this where softness is more important than stitch definition. $16.00 per 4 oz lot.

Dorado – Many colors of silk carded togehter. Approximately 2 oz. – $16.00 sold
Cherry Blossoms – Inspired by my cherry trees in bloom. 50% Finn sheep wool/ 25% silk/25% mohair. There is some minute amounts of loose vm in this batch. I test spun a sample and it fell right out.
