I am almost finished with my first skein and I can see that I will easily get the length I wanted, but more importantly so will the other people knitting this shawl with me. I usually use a person’s height as a rule for how wide to make a shawl and I’m just a little over 5 feet. Almost everyone is taller than I , but they will still have enough yarn for their shawls. For more info on this shawl, click on the KAL blog link.

It looks beautiful Eve, did you end up altering the pattern (you said you might) or is this knit as is. I love how it looks in the natural fiber!
Thanks Theresa,
I changed the pattern so that the shawl is about twice as wide as the original pattern. I’ll check to see if I posted what I did on the KAL blog, and if not. I’ll add it.
You should see some of the shawls being worked on in other colors. I think the ones done in nutmeg, musk and Misty Grey are gorgeous. And someone is starting one using eh black alpaca, can’t wait to see it. The black is very elegant looking. I’ll take my camera on Monday to get some photos.
Eve
That’s a really nice pattern!
